The Ministry of Youth in Zambia is committed to empowering the next generation through a range of government-led, youth-centered programs. From entrepreneurship support to vocational training, these initiatives are designed to create sustainable opportunities for young people across the country. Through the Youth Empowerment Fund, thousands of young entrepreneurs are gaining access to grants, mentorship, and business development tools to launch and grow their ventures.

In partnership with technical and vocational training institutions, the government is rolling out practical skills programs in areas such as construction, agriculture, ICT, and manufacturing—ensuring that youth are equipped to meet the demands of today's job market. Innovation is also a key focus, with youth innovation hubs being established to support tech talent, creative industries, and digital entrepreneurship.

To tackle unemployment and bridge the skills gap, internship and job placement programs have been strengthened, linking young graduates to opportunities within government departments, parastatals, and private sector companies. The government is also encouraging youth participation in agriculture by offering access to land, inputs, and training, promoting agriculture not only as a livelihood but also as a business opportunity.
